Hand crafted New Zealand Style Savory Pies have made their claim to our hearts!
Christine and Robert connected with us about 2 years ago as they began their pie adventure in Boulder, CO. Christine is a French-trained Pastry Chef who has mastered the art of the portable meat pies. Robert is a New Zealand native where the hand meat-pie idea originated. Together, they have brought a New Zealand tradition to life in these high altitude, high quality, protein-packed savory pies! Each one I’ve tried is a new favorite!
Using quality, locally sourced ingredients was essential to Christine as she embarked on this pie journey. Of course, when considering local, quality meat proteins, Boulder Sausage was at the top of Christine’s list. Tip Top Savory Pies is using our Chorizo, Breakfast Sausage, and Bacon. There are talks of menu expansion and changing the varieties offered, so look for more in the future.
Open for Business!
The past 2 years, Robert and Christine have been pressing forward with their pies, selling mostly in coffee shops, while awaiting the right opportunity to open their own retail shop. This opportunity has come! Tip Top Savory Pies is now open for retail purchase at 105 N. Public Road in Lafayette, CO. Fortunately, since opening their doors just a few weeks ago they’ve been booming with business and have often been selling out of pie varieties well before lunch time. As of writing this article, they are only open on select days, so be sure to tune into their Instagram or website for updates on openings, available pie flavors, and new things in the works.
